When can I apply?

You need to apply in the term before you want to take up a place - Your child can start their funded place, if you're eligible for the term following their birthday (or 9 months old)

For example, if your child has a birthday in July, you can take up a place from September, you need to apply during the summer term (1 April-31 August) using the Childcare Choices website above to receive your code. This code is then shared with your chosen childcare provider

PLEASE NOTE: If you apply for your code after the start date of the term, you will not be able to take up a place and must wait until the start of the following term - codes must be updated every 3 months to stay valid 

All 3 year olds are entitled to 15 hours funded childcare in the term following their 3rd birthday - Parents do not need to apply for a code for the first 15 hours of funded childcare
